Jon was born and raised in Central Massachusetts. Where as a young man he started a business brokering top-quality hay to many prestigious horse farms around New England. By the time he was 24 years old, he was a well-established businessman. He attended college for veterinary medicine and maintained a herd of 35 Red Angus cattle.

What sparked Jon’s interest in building was when he attended an auction where he purchased two house lots. In 1983, he started his career as a custom quality home builder. From 1983 to 2009, he built and developed nearly a dozen residential communities in Central Massachusetts. In 2001, the Central Mass Builders Association named him as "Builder of the Year."

He retired in 2009 and moved to Fitzwilliam New Hampshire. Soon after, he realized that he missed creating quality homes for people. When he saw there was a need for someone with extensive years of experience in the building and development industry, he stepped up to the role.

In 2013, he opened Jon R. LeClaire Properties & Development LLC. Since then, his company has designed, built, and renovated several homes in Cheshire County. He has enjoyed helping these families achieve high-quality homes that they have envisioned with the personalized service that they deserve.

Jon is a member of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Massachusetts.
